Annotation
The article is devote to environmental situation related with Moscow’s rivers. In the research the authors give historical, geographical and ecological overview the city’s rivers at the end of the 19th century. Also the authors analyze environmental features of the Moskva River and its largest tributaries such as Setun, Skhodnya, and Yauza.
The article is based on environmental statistics over several years. In the research authors pay attention to specially protected areas (SPNA) and their role for saving and preserving the Moscow reavers.
