Annotation

The article examines the problem of using non-verbal means of influence in the training process of gymnasts 7–8 years old. Conditions have been identified that contribute to the successful use of tactile techniques in the training and development of young female athletes in the initial stages of sports. This includes the use of specific types of bodily touch as part of a tactile communication between the coach and the students. Tactile means should be considered as separate training units within the educational process. They expand the possibilities of interaction between the coach and the young athlete, contribute to the co-building of trusting and mutually beneficial relationships, strengthen the effectiveness of girls’ education and development, lead to positive changes in the development of motor abilities and help in mastering the basic elements of rhythmic gymnastics. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the data of pedagogical observations, questionnaires and chronometry, a methodology for the use of non-verbal means has been developed, taking into account the age characteristics of young athletes and the specifics of rhythmic gymnastics. The effectiveness of the technique is confirmed by the results of many years of pedagogical exercises.
