The aim of the study was to evaluate the functional parameters of the central nervous system (CNS) in young athletes 8–9 years old engaged in acrobatic rock and roll
during a 6-month training process. Methods: 30 8–9-year-old children who had been practicing acrobatic rock’n’roll for 6 months were examined. The study of the indicators was carried out in 2 stages: before and after the end of the training process. The assessment of the functional parameters of the central nervous system included the determination of the lability and strength of nervous processes (tapping test). Results: after six months of training, young athletes engaged in acrobatic rock’n’roll showed an improvement in neurodynamic characteristics. Conclusions: after 6 months of acrobatic rock’n’roll training, young athletes 8–9 years old demonstrated a higher level of CNS lability.
