Annotation
The article analyzes the role of the international Eurovision song contest from the point of view of its fit into the geopolitical context of the European region. The spatiotemporal dynamics of the composition of the competition participants has been substantiated. The voting process at the competition is examined through the prism
of political geographic approach. Specific clusters reflecting the territorial differentiation of the electoral preferences of the audience of the event are identified. An interpretation of the voting results from the point of view of international relations is also proposed.
