This research addresses the issue of urban flooding and the adaptation of cities to climate change. The relevance of researching this problem is due to the increasing
risks of urban area flooding caused by climate trends. Using the example of Lipetsk city, the article analyzes trends in climate change and proposes a tool for determining the likely flood zones using remote sensing data. An important component of the research method for this problem is spatial analysis, which allows for the assessment of impervious surface indicators and moisture levels in the studied area. The article substantiates the rationality of using the proposed tool and identifies potential flood zones in urban areas of Lipetsk, where the development of water-green infrastructure is necessary. The materials presented in the article have both theoretical and practical significance for urban planning systems.
