Annotation

The article presents an analysis of the territorial organization and structure of the population of the European North of Russia. The features of the dynamics of geodemographic indicators are revealed. The system of population settlement is characterized. The historical and geographical conditionality of the formation of a unique cultural heritage of this region, considered in conjunction with its unique natural heritage, is shown in the article.
