Annotation

In the paper, the authors consider the natural and ecological framework (NEF) on the example of Moscow addressing to the principles of its structure, its proximity to the river systems, the landscape features of the framework, the mode of use, environmental status, the set of functions performed. Based on the analysis, the main components of the NEF were identified, for which the coefficients of landscape diversity were calculated. The paper presents maps reflecting the spatial distribution of the indicator of landscape diversity, the constituent elements of the NEF. The conducted research also provides an opportunity to get an idea of the main functions of NEF in accordance with the mode of use.
