Annotation

To date, it has been established that in the Central part of Russia, mosquitoes are carriers of pathogens of zooanthroponic infections (tuleria, dirofilariasis, West Nile fever). In addition, according to statistics, about 40 % of people are allergic to the salivary fluid of blood-sucking parasites. In seasons with excessive moisture, the number of bloodsucking mosquitoes reaches enormous values. For one ten-minute count “on itself” a person is attacked by several hundred females. Therefore, the study of mosquitoes during unfavorable, dry seasons makes it possible to assess the state of blood-sucking insects and predict the likelihood of a decrease in the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. The article provides data on the species composition and accounting number of female mosquitoes of the river Aedes on stationary sites in the Tula and Ryazan regions during the low flood season and the dry summer period. In total, 8 species were noted, the largest shares were in Ae. cinereus and Ae. cataphylla. In the 2020 season, a decrease in the number of mosquitoes was noted, including the proportion of late spring and summer species. The flight time of mosquitoes, in comparison with 2019, was reduced and lasted only 2,5 months. There was no second peak in the increase in numbers associated with the second generation of mosquitoes, which is possible under the conditions of the rainy season and summer floods. When comparing the number of mosquitoes in settlement Brykin Bor in 2019–2020 a decrease of 2,6 times was established. A reliable statistically confirmed positive relationship between the number of mosquitoes and air temperature (rs = 0,6, р ˂ 0,01) and the absence of the influence of air humidity and atmospheric pressure values on the activity of female biting mosquitoes were revealed.
