Relevance of the problem, research background: currently, in acrobatic rock ‘n’ roll, there are no scientifically substantiated growth models for selecting the most promising children for initial training groups. Thus, dissertations on acrobatic rock ‘n’ roll, as well as the training program for this sport, do not contain materials on this issue. However, for many sports, data on the significance of various anthropometric parameters are available in various sources on selection and orientation, as well as tools for predicting the growth of participants. The objective of the study was to develop model growth characteristics for predicting the potential of young athletes in the “M-class” category. The study was conducted in several stages. In the first stage, a method for predicting athletes’ height was studied. Three different growth calculators were selected. In the second stage, growth parameters for the selection of children in the M-class were calculated and a digital model
was created at a spread of 4 standard deviations (95.4 %) according to the three sigma rule. For ease of calculation of the final result, the arithmetic mean error was immediately subtracted and added. As a result of the conducted research, height ranges to consider when recruiting children for the acrobatic rock ‘n’ roll section as potential future M-Class athletes were identified. For the first time, model characteristics of participants aged 7–15 were created, potentially corresponding to the height parameters of adult M-Class athletes in the future. As a result of this research, practicing coaches now have a tool for assessing the potential of children participating — age-specific tables.
