Annotation

The current generation of students, future specialists in various areas of the social sphere, including in the field of physical culture and sports, often perceives the cultural space through the processes of digitalization and gamification, as well as through their products: clip culture, screen culture, cyber culture, tools augmented reality (AR and VR technologies). The formation of a digital society and the development of Web 4.0 poses new challenges related to the transformation of the cultural environment, educational institutions, as well as understanding and promoting the cultural values of students. The usual format of culture, the perception of the cultural environment and the formation of cultural values among the “digital natives” (the term was introduced by P. Kirchner and J. Merrienbur) is changing dramatically. This article, based on the analysis of the theory of capital by Pierre Bourdieu, reveals the importance of using the concepts of “cultural capital”, “cultural values” and “cultural intelligence” in the development of educational programs that provide a modern level of training of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.
